Roads to Drive During Your Lifetime

14th June 2017

Below, you will find a list of some super popular many beautiful scenic areas in this country. Time to take a vacation and drive on one of these absolutely amazing roads!

Acadia’s Park Loop – Acadia National Park in Maine is an ultimate bucket list destination. The Park Loop goes around Mt Desert Island and offers ocean views, rocky coastlines, crystal clear lakes and mountains that explode with color in the autumn. Take a trip up Cadillac Mountain in early morning and you’ll see the first rays of sun that hit the country.

Creole Nature Trail – You absolutely have to see this trail, which is known to many as “Louisiana’s Outback.” On this road, you can see 26 miles of Gulf of Mexico beaches, and will witness plenty of crabbing and fishing. And, over 400 bird species exist along this Nature Trail.

Overseas Highway – This is a 113-mile highway carrying US Route 1 through the Florida Keys.  The Overseas Highway follows a trail that Henry Flagler blazed in 1917 to extend his Florida East Coast Railroad from Miami to Key West. The bridges found along the route were achievements in civil engineering and offer serious sunrises and sunsets views.

The Silverado Trail – The Silverado Trail starts near the top of San Francisco Bay and heads northward through the Napa Valley’s winegrowing region. The Silverado Trail is the first permanent road linking the town of Napa to Calistoga, which is about 30 miles south.  Not only is there breathtaking scenery, you may stop along your way and enjoy wine tours and tastings.

Deals Gap – Known locally as the Tail of the Dragon, Deals Gap is one of the curviest stretches of road in the United States. It is in North Carolina, and it is only 11 miles long yet has 318 curves along its length. There’s no development along this stretch of road, ensuring that there’s no intersecting traffic to contend with as you get yourself around turns like Gravity Cavity, and Break or Bust Bend.

Pacific Coast Highway – Any speak of scenic roads needs to include the Pacific Coast Highway. Although this is on the other side of the country from this Porsche dealer in Owings Mills, MD, the team at the dealership has heard stories from its customers about the highway’s beauty. The Pacific Coast Highway stretch between Los Angeles and San Francisco is perhaps the most recognizable stretch of highway in the nation. There is a reason that it’s featured in so many Hollywood movies; the views it offers are fantastic.Utah’s Route 12 – Utah’s Route 12 is a trip through some great geological formations. For over 100 miles, you’re treated to the stunning sights of Bryce Canyon and Dixie National Forest. Along the route, multi-hued limestone cliffs tower above the road Seeing the sunset from just about anywhere on Route 12 is an experience that you’ll never forget.
