1st March 2020

According to a study done in 2016, about 50% of teenagers say that they feel like they are addicted to their cellphones.

In the age of information, it can be easy to just sit on your phone and scroll mindlessly through social media. But sometimes it can be fun to put down the phone and enjoy some other activities as well.

Are you trying to figure out what to do with your friends? Read this article to learn the most fun things to do with a group of teenage friends.

  1. Change Up Your Hair

As a teenager, you’re allowed to be wild and experiment with all kinds of crazy things that you may not be able to as an adult.

You and your friends could experiment with different hairstyles, looks, and colors. No change is really permanent when it comes to your hair; it will always grow back.

Now’s the time to try that cool-knotted braid, Mohawk, or blue or pink hair dye!

  1. Have a Movie Marathon

If you want something cheap and indoors, you can always have a movie marathon with your friends.

You should start a poll to see what movie series or genre you should watch and then pick some movies to have lined up in the queue. An Avengers or Lord of the Rings marathon is always a good idea.

Or maybe you want to watch all kinds of different horror or romantic movies.

You should also make sure that you stock up on some good snacks. You can pop some popcorn or have some candy without having to sneak it into a movie theater.

  1. Get a High Score on a Video Game

If you want to play video games but want to get out of the house, you can always venture to this arcade

To add an extra fun challenge to the outing, you can also see if you and your friends can get a high score on one of the video games there. If you all have the right mindset, this can provide hours of fun and great memories.

Make sure you have enough money to play different games. You may also need to team up with some of your friends which can also make this a great teambuilding outing.

  1. Visit an Amusement Park

If the weather isn’t too bad out, you can also head to an amusement park.

No matter where you live, there should be one that isn’t too far away. As long as you’re healthy, you should be able to ride all of the rides, rollercoasters, and other attractions.

A good shot of adrenaline rush from a roller coaster will be something that will leave you feeling happy for a while.

  1. Take a Road Trip

If you or your friends have their license, you could also take a road trip.

No matter where in the country you are, there’s always something cool to see that shouldn’t be too far away.

Throw a dart on a map, pack up your bags, and then hit the road.

A road trip can be a great way to disconnect from the Internet and social media and reconnect with your close friends.

  1. Make Mood Boards

If you want to do something more arts and crafty, you can make some mood boards.

As a teenager, you’re still figuring out who you are and what you want from life. You can have all kinds of dreams without being bound by being an adult.

The best way to collect all your thoughts and dreams and goals is by making a creative collage or a mood board.

This will be a really easy way to showcase what you want from life and what goals you want to pursue.

As you get older, you can reflect back on this mood board and use it as a reminder to chase what you really want.

  1. Train for and Run a 5k

If you and your friends are athletic, you can always train for and run a 5k.

Themed 5ks are fun ways to make new memories and to bring the community together. A 5k shouldn’t be too difficult to run as it’s only 3.1 miles.

There are always themed 5ks being held throughout the year, so make sure you do your research!

  1. Camp Out Under the Stars

If you want to reconnect with nature, you may even want to camp under the stars.

Camping can be a great way to hang out with your friends as you tell stories over the campfire and try and find constellations in the sky.

  1. Volunteer

If you want to help make the world a better place, get your friends together to volunteer for an organization that you are all passionate about.

You don’t have to join a huge organization like Greenpeace, but there should be some local chapters that you can join.

This may be something like giving blood, volunteering at a soup kitchen, helping your neighbor, or visiting a nursing or elderly home.

  1. Go Out to a New Restaurant and Try New Food

If you love food, you may be interested in trying some new things.
